Description
Proceeds from this card go towards AMA’s waterwell initiatives.
Clean water is vital for a healthy population. In Malawi about 4 million people continue to lack access to safe drinking water.
Mozambique is suffering from a severe water crisis with approximately half of its people being deprived of access to clean, safe water. The recent cyclones have worsened the situation tremendously.
A sponsored waterwell becomes a HEART in a rural village. It creates a hub of brotherhood and is a means of dignity for a Community. You can assist villages like these and enhance their quality of life.
A waterwell is a simple bucket and rope system, yet it provides so many benefits to a community that would otherwise have to trek far distances to obtain this bare essential of every living thing.
The villagers use the water for cooking, bathing, cleaning as well as farming.
Placing a waterwell in a village also allows for children to receive an education as they currently walk kilometres to fetch water daily.
